Victor Zheng

I am a final-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto's Department of Computer Science.

I am interested broadly in computer systems and am currently interested in questions tackling how to get the most performance out of hardware.

I worked on projects supervised by Prof. Paul Dietz (embedded systems) and Prof. Mario Badr (computer architecture).

I’m fascinated by computer systems because they are defined by tradeoffs and guided by intuition. At the end of the day, almost every complex CS problem boils down to a systems challenge. Mastering this layer is the key to understanding both how we have gotten here and the questions still to be solved.

In my free time, I enjoy playing chess and tennis.
